The guest house features unique decor with an elephant theme and offers fine views of the bustling harbor area.
The steep stairs can be quite a challenge, especially for those with heavy luggage.

The hotel is in an excellent position right at the heart of the picturesque township of Tarbert. It is very comfortable with an eclectic mix of Asian and Scottish decor. Our breakfast was excellent and was freshly cooked in front of us in the open plan kitchen/dining room. The host,Alistair, is welcoming, efficient and cooks a very tasty breakfast!

Wonderful warm welcome. Delightful house with exquisite furnishings. Excellent service. Very clean & comfortable room. Delicious personally cooked and served breakfast from a widely ranged menu. A special place to stay in a lovely village. Would have liked to have stayed longer.

Both a hit and a miss
The location is superb, right in the heart of the town, with excellent views and easy access to restaurants and the harbor.
The experience felt impersonal with limited host interaction, and the breakfast options were rather basic and lacked variety.

The rooms were absolutely beautiful, and the host was very gracious and helpful. Breakfast was truly a delight. The location is good, with free parking close by. All in all, this was the nicest place we stayed on our five-week uk holiday trip.
The elephant statue on the landing! :-0

We truly enjoyed the superior queen room which was modern with fridge. The location itself was great and fantastic, right at Tarbert Harbour Walls.

The harbor views were fine, and the breakfast was amazing! Super soft towels and a really comfy bed made it extra special. Plus, Alistair's communication was great throughout. Would definitely return 😊

A very competent and friendly manager/owner, who produced a good Scottish breakfast. Our room was large, the beds comfortable, the location convenient. We used it en route for the Islay ferry, and were glad we had chosen it.
It was hard to see the sign, because of restrictions placed on it as a listed building.

I stayed for 1 night in the King Suite with Sea View and absolutely loved the cozy room with amazing harbor views, and the breakfast was delicious and expertly prepared by Alistair! Only downside was no lift for the upstairs room.

The house is not easy to find if you are in a car. The front door is sandwiched between shops on either side. However on entering it is like the TARDIS a large and very high class B&B. The house is immaculate, is tastefully decorated and contains many interesting art works many from the orient. Alistair is a delightful host and we found him very good company. The breakfast was first class and the black pudding the best I have ever tasted. Wish we could have stayed longer.
My only critisism would be that the beds are a little hard for my taste.

The Guest House had been renovated and decorated to a very high standard. The owner was on leave but the stand in was very friendly and carried out her duties with obvious experience and enthusiasm. The cleanliness of our room and en-suite, together with the communal dining and lounge areas, was to a very high standard. The art work throughout the Guest House was wonderful. The breakfast was very filling and consisted of the highest quality local produce.
Like quite a few hotels and guest houses there was limited space in the en-suite for our personal toiletries. Additional shelf space would have been nice.
