The hotel is in an excellent position right at the heart of the picturesque township of Tarbert. It is very comfortable with an eclectic mix of Asian and Scottish decor. Our breakfast was excellent and was freshly cooked in front of us in the open plan kitchen/dining room. The host,Alistair, is welcoming, efficient and cooks a very tasty breakfast!

Wonderful warm welcome. Delightful house with exquisite furnishings. Excellent service. Very clean & comfortable room. Delicious personally cooked and served breakfast from a widely ranged menu. A special place to stay in a lovely village. Would have liked to have stayed longer.

Located in a wonderful area near restaurants and pubs, the spacious room is tidy with a fantastic shower in the private bathroom, all at a great value.

The rooms were absolutely beautiful, and the host was very gracious and helpful. Breakfast was truly a delight. The location is good, with free parking close by. All in all, this was the nicest place we stayed on our five-week uk holiday trip.

We truly enjoyed the superior queen room which was modern with fridge. The location itself was great and fantastic, right at Tarbert Harbour Walls.

The hotel is in a very central location. the room was tastefully decorated with a great sea view. - the shower in the room was good.

The building this place is housed in is just charming, plus the location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful islands and scenery! 🌟

A very competent and friendly manager/owner, who produced a good Scottish breakfast. Our room was large, the beds comfortable, the location convenient. We used it en route for the Islay ferry, and were glad we had chosen it.

It was hard to see the sign, because of restrictions placed on it as a listed building.

This place has a fantastic location just a short walk to the harbor, with great nearby walks and restaurants.

excellent place staff made you feel very welcome very clean food was very very good would recomend owener was very nice person couldnt do enough for you would only stay there if in that part of the country again cannot praise the place and staff enough

The breakfast was delicious and very good, with juice and muesli. All members of the staff were helpful and excellent. The hotel's location is great and stunning, with a view of the beautifully maintained Castle. It is conveniently close to the Starfish restaurant, the center of Tarbert, and the harbor.

The house is not easy to find if you are in a car. The front door is sandwiched between shops on either side. However on entering it is like the TARDIS a large and very high class B&B. The house is immaculate, is tastefully decorated and contains many interesting art works many from the orient. Alistair is a delightful host and we found him very good company. The breakfast was first class and the black pudding the best I have ever tasted. Wish we could have stayed longer.

My only critisism would be that the beds are a little hard for my taste.
